Rosa (R.) Zamora

Rosa R. Zamora, 96, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, surrounded by her daughters and sons-in-laws. She was born on October 24, 1927, in Lyford, TX, to Sabas Ramos and Augustina Sanchez.

She is survived by her daughters, Elisa Vera Gutierrez (Ruben) and Adela Vera Briseno (Lito), her grandchildren, Modesto Mendoza III, Amos Eli Mendoza, Alyssa Vette Gutierrez and Ruben Gutierrez III, her great grandchildren, Jeremy Longoria, Nathan Mendoza, Ethan Mendoza, Devin Mendoza and Derek Mendoza.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hipolito Zamora, her parents, Sabas and Augustina Ramos, her brothers, Lorenzo Ramos, Manuel Ramos, Lucas Ramos, Sabas Ramos, and her sister, Victoria Rincones.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Lito Briseno, Eli Mendoza, Jeremy Longoria, Nathan Mendoza, Ethan Mendoza and Devin Mendoza, honorary pallbearers were Ruben Gutierrez and Derek Mendoza.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment followed to her final place of rest at the Lyford Guadalupe Cemetery.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Griselda Dominguez and Rosa Reyna. They would also like to thank Harbor Hospice and nurses Vero Garza, Joanne Aguilar and Jessica Mendez.
