Rosendo Garcia

Rosendo Garcia, 94, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023, surrounded by his family at The Heights of Alamo in Alamo, TX. He was born on March 1, 1929, in Agualeguas, Mexico to Justo Garcia and Eulalia Gonzalez Garcia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Justo and Eulalia Garcia, wife, Maria Juarez Garcia, brothers, Antonio Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia, and Ricardo Garcia, sisters, Delia Garcia and Francisca Garcia, and great-grandson, Joe Eric Gutierrez. He is survived by his daughters, Janie (Tommy) Longoria, Lolly (Gilbert) Tijerina, Lucy (Roger) Hinojosa, Estella (Julian) Guerra, and Irma (Michael) Duffey, grandchildren, T.C., Danny, Lisa, Erica, Jessica, Joey, Christina, Vanessa, Charlie, and Nicolette, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary recited at 6:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A funeral procession will follow to his final place of rest next to his wife in the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be T.C. Longoria, Danny Longoria, Joey Gutierrez, George Elizondo, Gustavo Elizondo, and Ricky Elizondo.
