Ruben R. Ramirez was welcomed home on 03/24/21. Although we only had him for 49 years, he left behind beautiful memories, and his many dance moves to remember him by. He was a truck driver for many years, father, brother, son, and best friend.
Ruben fought the good fight until the very end. He always showed unconditional love to his family, shared his gleeful smile, and words of encouragement. He also loved talking to everyone, and catching up. He never met a stranger. There was never a time he was not cracking jokes and looking at the positive. He fought hard to be with his children, and family, but he is rejoicing now with the Lord and his mother, and father.
Ruben left behind four beautiful children: Faith, little Ruben, Christopher, and Luna. His sisters: Rosalie Ann Mesa (Baldemar Mesa), Alicea Morin (George Morin), and MaryAnn Rodriguez (Eli Rodriguez). His brothers: Jose Roque Ramirez Jr (Patricia Ramirez), Reynaldo Ramirez (Consuelo Ramirez), and Jimmy Ramirez (MaryAnn Ramirez). As well as countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Anita Ramirez, and father, Roque Ramirez.
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and resumed on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were his eldest son, Ruben Ramirez, his nephews, Jayden J. Ramirez, John Raymond Ramirez, James Harrison, Jimmy Junior Harrison, Jesse Ramirez, and Anthony Gomez, along with his best-friend, Gilbert Araiza.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, TX 78580.
