Salvador H. (Sr.) Acevedo

Salvador H. Acevedo, 72, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Harlingen, TX. He was born on September 2, 1952, to Salvador Acevedo and Consuela Herrera, in Mexico.

He is survived by his son, Salvador Acevedo Jr., his daughter, Melissa (Robert) Cervantes, his brothers, Raul (Refugio) Acevedo, Arturo Acevedo, Jorge Acevedo, and Carlos (Elsa) Acevedo, his sisters, Imelda Cardona, Chabela (Manuel) Paredes, Margarita Acevedo, and Beatriz (Israel) Ramirez, his grandchildren, Robert Anthony Cervantes, Andrew Jacob Cervantes, and Kendall Rose Acevedo, and by his great grandchild, Amina Rosalynn Cervantes.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalinda Rodriguez Acevedo, and his parents, Salvador Acevedo and Consuela Herrera Acevedo.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
