Samuel “Sammy” Robles, 54, entered into eternal rest at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He was born in Raymondville, Texas on September 14, 1966.
He was a devoted brother and uncle. He was a great friend to everyone who knew him and would always put a smile on people’s faces. He was known by his jokes; he would have made a good comedian. He was an incredibly happy person even when he felt at his lowest, he would not give up. Sammy worked the cotton gins on 6th Street, and he was also a truck driver that got to travel throughout Texas, where he also stole hearts. He was very well known and had an exceptionally long story of a happy life. He is going to be missed by all the people he touched so dearly and by all his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sylvestre E. Robles Sr., mother, Reyes M. Robles, brother, Miguel Chavarria II, and nephew, Corey Davila. He is survived by his six sisters, Odilia (Israel) Davila, Mary Ramirez, Hilda (Gume) Martinez, Perla (Gilberto) Garcia, Rachel (Noe+) Blanco, and Manuela R. Duran, four brothers, Rodolfo (Rebecca) Mireles, Sylvestre (Carol) Robles Jr., Efrain (Esperanza) Robles Sr., and Robert (Mary) Robles, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were David Robles, Jose Salazar, Mike Chavarria III, Rogelio Mireles, Jose Duran, and Manuel Rodriguez Jr.
