Santos Lopez Munoz

Santos Lopez Munoz, 93, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 1, 2026, in Harlingen, TX.  He was born on December 29, 1932, to Antonio Munoz and Amelia Lopez Munoz.

He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, working on carpentry projects around the home, and tending to his garden. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially gathering with his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness. His kind spirit, hardworking nature, and love for those closest to him will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria Munoz, his sons, Luis Carlos Munoz, Mario Alberto (Susana Sosa), and Olmel Munoz, his daughters, Rosalinda Hernandez, and Maria Arroyo (Guadalupe), 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Mario Albert Munoz, his parents, Antonio Munoz and Amelia Munoz, and by two grandsons, Jose Aurelio Arroyo and Aurelio Jose Arroyo.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Luis Carlos Munoz, Mario Alberto Munoz, Omel Munoz, Santos Arroyo, Damian Munoz, and Jose Guadalupe Arroyo.

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Raymondville. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Santos Lopez Munoz, de 93 años, falleció el lunes 1 de junio de 2026 en Harlingen, TX. Nació el 29 de diciembre de 1932, hijo de Antonio Muñoz y Amelia López Muñoz.

Disfrutaba enormemente de los placeres sencillos de la vida. Le encantaba pescar, trabajar en proyectos de carpintería en casa y cuidar su jardín. Por encima de todo, valoraba el tiempo pasado con su familia, especialmente reunirse con sus queridos nietos, quienes le brindaban un orgullo y felicidad inmensos. Su espíritu bondadoso, su naturaleza trabajadora y su amor por los que estaban más cerca de él serán recordados por todos los que lo conocieron y amaron.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa María Muñoz, sus hijos Luis Carlos Muñoz, Mario Albert (Susana Sosa) y Olmel Muñoz, sus hijas Rosalinda Hernández y María Arroyo (Guadalupe), 11 nietos y 15 bisnietos.

Le preceden en la muerte su hijo Mario Albert Muñoz, sus padres Antonio Muñoz y Amelia Muñoz, y dos nietos, José Aurelio Arroyo y Aurelio José Arroyo.

Honrados de servir como portadores del ataúd están: Luis Carlos Muñoz, Mario Alberto Muñoz, Omel Muñoz, Santos Arroyo, Damián Muñoz y José Guadalupe Arroyo.

La velación se llevará a cabo el lunes 8 de junio de 2026, de 2 p.m. a 9 p.m., con un Santo Rosario a las 7 p.m. en Good Shepherd Funeral Home. La misa funeral se celebrará el martes 9 de junio de 2026, a las 10 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Raymondville. El entierro seguirá en su lugar final de descanso en el Cementerio Raymondville Memorial Park.
