Santos D. Tamez

Santos D. Tamez, 79, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence in Lyford, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1942 to Nieves Tamez and Ramona de los Santos Tamez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nieves and Ramona Tamez, wife, Guadalupe Castillo Tamez, brothers, Ismael Tamez, Alejandro Tamez, and Adan Tamez, and sisters, Elva Longoria and Eva Arredondo. He is survived by his son, Daniel M. Tamez, stepdaughter, Norma Castillo Saenz, daughter-in-law, Mirna B. Tamez, brother, Lionel Tamez Sr., 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel United Methodist Church. A funeral procession will follow to his final place of rest in the Lasara Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Roy Tamez, Martin Castillo, Raymond Tamez, Noe Tamez Jr., Lazaro Tamez, and Jaelen Salinas.
