Tomasa O. Rodriguez

Tomasa Ortiz Rodriguez, 88, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her residence in San Perlita, Texas. She was born on September 22, 1933 in Brownsville, Texas to Marcos Ortiz and Soledad Cabrieles Ortiz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcos and Soledad Ortiz, husband, Anselmo Rodriguez Jr., grandson, George Hernandez Jr., great great grandson, Parker Alvarado, great great granddaughter, Lilianna Grace Syzdek, brothers, Juan Ortiz, Carmelo Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, and Raul Ortiz, sister, Maria Reyes Garza, daughter-in-law, Petra Rodriguez, and son-in-law, Ruben Duron. She is survived by her sons, Conrado Rodriguez of San Perlita, Alfredo (Hermelinda) Rodriguez of Kyle, Servando (Irma) Rodriguez of San Perlita, Ricardo (Veronica) Rodriguez of Yoakum, Anselmo (Criselda) Rodriguez III of Buda, Alejandro Rodriguez of San Antonio, and David (Laura) Rodriguez of Edinburg, daughters, Juanita (Guadalupe) Alvarado of Harlingen, Dora (Eubaldo) Nieto of San Perlita, Yolanda Duron of San Perlita, Guadalupe (George) Hernandez of Kingsville, Rosaura (Roel) Garcia of San Perlita, Francisca Rodriguez of San Perlita, and Sonia (Garry) White of Willamar, brothers, Humberto Ortiz and Marcos Ortiz, sisters, Maria Cortez and Esperanza Perez, 42 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, and 4 great great  grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession will follow to her final place of rest next to her husband, Anselmo, in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Conrado Rodriguez Jr., Ruben Duron Jr., Eubaldo Nieto Jr., Nicolas Hernandez, Allen Michael Galvan, Arturo Alvarado, Gabriel Rodriguez, and Servando Rodriguez Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Lynn Rodriguez, Jonathan Brien Coleman, Avery Jace Orozco, Brantley Arthur Nelson, John William Syzdek, and Jaxson Duron.
