Tomasa (Lopez) Salinas

Tomasa Lopez Salinas, 89, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Harlingen, TX. She was born on March 7, 1936, in Bishop, TX, to Francisco Lopez and Eugenia Sandoval.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Tovar (Mario Aguirre) and Martha Ann (Javier) Mendoza, her sister, Consuelo Tijerina, her grandchildren Michelle (Darius) Davis, Desiree Mendoza, Justin Mendoza, Stephanie (Amberly) Reyes, Erica (Eugene) Beavers, Elisabet Tovar, Melissa Tovar, Clarissa (Aaron) Ramirez, and Esteban (Stacey) Tovar III, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Gudalupe Salinas, her parents, Francisco Lopez and Eugenia (Sandoval) Lopez, her brothers, Daniel Lopez, Zaragoza Lopez, Joe Lopez, and Adolfo Lopez, her sisters, Rachel Torrez, Rebecca Rangel, Amelia Cantu, Rosa Rodriguez, Martha Cordery, Esperanza Garcia, Paulita Lopez, Sylvia Lopez, and Eulalia Flores, and her son in law, Esteban Tovar Jr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a holy rosary at 5 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. All services will conclude at this time.
