Valentin “Val” Flores, 76, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at his residence in Sebastian, Texas. He was born on May 2, 1945, in Sebastian, Texas to Olivia Galvan Flores and Julian Flores Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian Sr. and Olivia, brother, Ramon Flores, father-in-law, Raymundo Olivarez, and mother-in-law, Carlota Olivarez. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry Flores, son, Robert D. Flores, daughters, Melissa A. (Felipe) Rodriguez and Valerie R. (Matthew) Nelson, grandchildren, Abby Jones, Aaron Jones, and Alejandro Flores, brother, Julian Flores Jr., and sisters, Felicitas Lopez, Estela Garcia, Suzana Garcia, and Isabel Sanchez.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. A funeral procession will follow to his final place of rest in the Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Robert D. Flores, Matthew Nelson, Frank Torres, Raul Torres, Julian Olivarez, and Sal Acevedo. Honorary pallbearers will be Julian Flores Jr., Abby Jones, Aaron Jones, and Alejandro Flores.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, TX 78580.
