Obituary

Wenceslao Almanza, 61, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his residence in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on July 19, 1961, in Raymondville, Texas to Silverio Almanza, Sr. and Pompeya Sauceda Almanza.

He is survived by his siblings, Maximino Almanza, Silverio Almanza Jr., Ricarda Almanza, Mary Melendez, Yolanda Munoz, Catalina White, and Carmen Garcia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Silverio Almanza Sr. and Pompeya Almanza, and siblings, Tereso Almanza, Esteban Almanza, Juan Almanza, Hijinia Almanza, and Wenceslado Almanza.

Wenceslao was a graduate of Texas A and I Kingsville. He was the Director of Technology and Digital Learning at Presbyterian Pan American School in Kingsville for 27 years. We, his brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces will greatly miss him, and he will forever be in our hearts. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle.

We would like to give thanks to our sister, Yolanda, and brother, Silverio for lovingly caring for him in the last days of his life. We also would like to thank Altus Hospice and Good Shepherd Funeral Home, who oversaw his funeral arrangements. A very special thanks to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and thanks for all the prayers, flowers, and support in this time of our loss of our beloved brother.

Viewing was held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a holy rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A funeral procession followed to his final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Pete Melendez, Rolando Melendez Jr., Tereso Almanza, Ray Munoz, Carlos Almanza Jr., and Christian Almanza.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas 78580.
